As a physician having practiced emergency medicine for 25 years and recently board certified in Integrative Medicine, I'm hearing the demand for wellness/lifestyle medicine rapidly increasing as biomedicine has less and less time and bandwidth to address wellness. Our conventional healthcare alone does not provide the health and care that patients need. That's why Eudemonia and social media influencers exist. The fields of Integrative and Functional Medicine are focused on helping patients find their own roadmap to wellness using many of the tools discussed, the evidence-based tools. The problem is that corporation-run medical conglomerates do not reimburse for integrative medical care/functional medicine testing and care, and have very little interest in even acknowledging that these certified fields of medicine exist. Hopefully supply will follow demand and doctors specializing in integrative medicine and functional medicine can make a living making people well. Isn't this why we doctors chose medicine in the first place?
